Hi! I'm Grace Yang, a digital product designer graduated from the University of Waterloo’s Global Business and Digital Arts Program (BGBDA). I also hold a minor in computing.
Since an early age, my love for design has been fuelled by an enchantment over digital spaces and their ability to connect, serve and shelter the people that interact with them and through them. I'm captivated by the minor details— like margins, padding and lines. My greatest passions in life lie at the intersection between art, technology and helping others.
When i'm not designing, you can find me reading, making Pinterest moodboards or dancing 🕺🪩✨.
Design philosophy
Design is a superpower.
Design is problem solving. Design is helping others. Design is a superpower and holds an undeniable burden of care. As designers we must strive to understand the ethical implications of our work and create spaces that foster transparency, well-being and agency.
Life is short.
In today’s fast-paced, tech-driven world, time is too precious to be spent on unfulfilling experiences. Designers should intend to develop products that not only inspire, but intuitively integrate into the lives of our users. When we design thoughtfully, we take the hard work out and allow our people to focus on the things that truly matter.
What i'm up to:
I am a big collector of trinkets— whether its keychains, blind boxes, receipts or postcards I am always looking for something to collect!

I love traveling and exploring new places— i've been to 18 countries so far and i'm always searching for new adventures.
Dancing is one of my greatest new found loves. While i'm largely trained in hip-hop choreography, i've recently discovered a love for waacking, a dynamic dance style characterized by expressive arm movements originating from gay clubs in 1970s Los Angeles.
I am an avid enjoyer of 35mm film photography and love bringing my Canon AE-1 camera on my travels whenever possible.
